Naval Air Facility (NAF) El Centro is located in El Centro, California approximately one hour from Yuma, Arizona and two hours from San Diego, California. The great weather that El Centro provides is perfect for flying and the near by bombing ranges make it easy for aircraft to conduct training. In the winter, the U.S. Navy's aerial demonstration squadron, The Blue Angels, perform practice flights at El Centro in preparation for the air show season. The El Centro photocalls provide a terrific opportunity for photographers to get photos of aircraft while standing right next to the runway. Aircraft that can be photographed can range from F/A-18's, T-45's, and C-2A Greyhounds as well as any other units that may be on Temporary Duty (TDY) to the California base. This photocall saw aircraft from:

 - Electronic Attack Squadron 129 (VAQ-129) "Vikings" with EA-18G Growlers

 - Strike Fighter Squadron 122 (VFA-122) "Flying Eagles" with F/A-18E/F Super Hornets

 - Marine Attack Training Squadron 203 (VMAT-203) "Hawks" with AV-8B &  TAV-8B Harrier        II's

 - Fleet Logistics Support Squadron 30 (VRC-30) "Providers" with C-2A Greyhounds

A big thanks to Joe Copalman of AZaP for inviting me to this event, as well as the El Centro PAO for organizing and allowing us photographers to do what we do best.
