The Davis-Monthan Air Force Base Air Show has always been a favorite of mine for many reasons. The great weather, small crowd, and great displays make this air show a very exciting one to attend. This year saw the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds, headlining the show with their first performance of the air show season. Along with the Thunderbirds, the F-22 Demo Team made an appearance to show of its capabilities as well as perform a Heritage Flight with the iconic P-51 Mustang. Davis-Monthan's very own put on a terrific Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) simulation with A-10C Thunderbolts, HH-60G Pave Hawks, an EC-130H Compass Call, and an HC-130J Combat King II.
